Post Game - East 1st Round: Celtics vs Hawks

Celtics vs Hawks
(Celtics Win Series 4-2)
  1. Is this the final stand for the Celtics regime that was put together 4 years ago? - In this series, the Celtics veteran presence may have won them this series. In game 2, Paul Pierce and KG played very well and that was without Rondo and Allen. To answer this question, no they'll play at least one more playoff round, if not two more.
  2. Are the Hawks a real threat to the big dogs of the East? Let's think about this for a second: The Hawks main core (Horford, Johnson, and Smith) have been with each other since 2008. This team as made it out of the 1st round 3 of those 5 years. However, they have not advance beyond the second round and with being put out this year in the 1st round. With some thinking that this team should of walked into the East Finals now that the Bulls are out, but this team seem to can't play to it's potential. It's clear that this team may have played its last game together as currently constituted, as the Hawks have a laundry list of upcoming free agents.
  3. Who's injury situation will hurt the most: Hawks without Al Horford or the C's without Ray Allen? - I'll give this one a push advantage, considering that both players came back and made both teams a little better in this series.
  4. Will homecourt be a factor in this series? Again One word......YES! It just cost the Hawks the series.

Next up: Celtics will move to face the Sixers in the 2nd round
